European Union Conclusions on Youth Policy

This section focuses on Conclusions made by the European Union regarding youth issues. Conclusions are the decisions made by the European Council during their meetings. In addition to the Council's official role of deliberating on the top level, they also make Recommendations, certain executive decisions and Opinions 1. The Conclusions of the European Council are politically binding to the Member States of the EU and have a major influence on the direction of European Commission and EU business.

The following is a list of all the Conclusions, regardless whether they are adopted, refused or in progress by the EU in the field of youth. 
 
1987:
Council conclusions of 9 March 1987 concerning vocational training for young people in the European Community.
The European Council establishes with this document the general guidelines for high-quality vocational training, education and access to new technologies among young people after the completion of their full-time studies 2.
